One of the most timeless gifts is a bouquet of flowers, either for a special occasion or as a “just because” gesture. And, while flowers look beautiful on their own, there’s nothing like receiving them gorgeously wrapped in elegant paper and embellishments. While wrapping a bouquet of flowers may sound like a nearly impossible task, it’s actually pretty simple, as you’re about to find out.
The key to wrapping a bouquet of flowers is being gentle (to not crush or damage the flowers), and being patient. It does take a bit of finesse, but the results are well worth it.
First, you’ll want to put a little more effort into choosing the right wrapping paper, since the flowers will be partially exposed, and you want the look to be complementary. The same goes for any accessories like ribbons or bows.
Make sure the stems are wrapped together with twine, a ribbon, or rubber band, so that they don’t get loose and slip out of the paper, or end up poking holes through the paper.
Cut your wrapping paper into a 2-foot by 2-foot square. Then, place the square on a diagonal (to make a diamond shape) and place the bouquet centered on it. Make a point to cut the lines evenly so they’re not jagged or lopsided.
Now, take the right corner and begin folding it around the center of the bouquet, making sure that it’s nice and snug, with the paper staying smooth. Bring the corner up toward the left of the diamond, carefully tucking the flowers inward to make room. Tape the corner down onto the paper to secure it.
Then, do the same with the left corner. Again, make sure to do this tightly so that the flowers are nice and secure in the wrapped paper. Tape the left corner to the ride side. Then, tape the other side over it securely and snugly.
Finally, take the bottom point where the stems are, and gently roll that section up tightly until you reach the bottom of the stems. Secure it with tape.
To really make sure the entire bouquet is nice and secure, take a ribbon and wrap it around the stems. This will keep everything in place so that the paper doesn’t slip off during transit. It also adds an elegant touch that has big aesthetic appeal.

A bouquet of flowers lets someone know you care, and offers one of the most symbolic gestures of love that there is. Going the extra mile by wrapping it beautifully shows your loved one that you put extra effort into a special occasion. And, as you can see, wrapping a bouquet is actually quite easy, so it’s worth the little bit of time and effort that it requires.
If you’re looking for a beautifully wrapped flower bouquet, the first step is choosing paper and ribbons. Waterleaf Paper Co got you covered, too, with both, in a wide selection of gorgeous options, of course.
